The 19 YO "douchebags" as you refereed to them have earned their Eagle Globe and Anchor. You have not. You are not even a shower shoe, so you do not rate. Maybe you need to make it through boot before you start putting down Marines who have chewed more sand and banged more snatch than you could imagine. For example, the then PFC Richard Weinmaster was only 19 years old when he first earned the Navy cross. Is he one of the "douchebags" you were referring to? It sounds to me like you are trying to circumvent the system and get something for nothing. How about you work for it. And how about you think next time before you spew off at the mouth.

On top of that I have noticed you running around here with a chip on your shoulder. I would suggest you knock it off, you seem like your one of those hard charging know it all kids, who thinks he is going to be the next big thing in the Corps. Trust me when I tell you your not. Semper

There's no ****ing way you go into Infantry as a corporal and not eat **** all day and night long, especially coming in as a MP. LOL. Any PFC would ring your ass until you cried. In the grunts, rank doesn't matter if you suck. We didn't even respect the new Lt's for at least 6 months. If you want to be an 03, take my advice...go in as a private and learn the ropes...aka get **** on. Then go somewhere else. What a ***** idea, go in as a corporal to avoid the rough part? **** you. That attitude will get you (or worse, someone else) killed some day.

If you come to the infantry from the MP's as a Corporal you might as well get used to being NCO of the Day and being in charge of handing out toilet paper at the barracks. Your fellow NCO's will be all over your ass and the marines junior to you will not respect you.

I carried the SAW when I was a PFC/junior LCPL. If you are planning on using the amazing experience that you gain as an MP, to secure a position of authority in a line platoon, you probably won't be carrying the SAW.
Your plan is pretty bad. If you want to be an 03, enlist as one. Going MP is going to give you a whole different set of skills. Assuming that you could later lat move out of MP to 03, you would be lacking many of the fundamental skills/training that are so necessary. Basically, you would be worthless. We took security force Marines to task for having been out of line platoons, you would be much lower down the totem pole. As someone mentioned, you would probably end up in headquarters, driving the gunny around.
My advice would be to focus on one or the other. If your long range goal is to be a sheriff, focus on that. Don’t let the dreams of the M249 dance in your head.
Nice earring; is that a butterfly?

How do you expect to effectively lead a team if you can't relate to all the bull**** that they deal with. Knowing first hand the crap a new grunt has to deal with, and how he handles and reacts to it, plays directly into the way I lead a specific Marine. NCO leadership within the grunts is an entirely different ballgame, more junior Marines to govern and less eyes and hands on from the chain of command.

There are terds everywhere you go. I respect every Marine but some are terds and them being a Marine doesn't kill their egos or habits. My brother happens to be one of those few. And the people who are calling the 19 y/o MP's douchebags are my brother (who is now an MP) my dad (who is a former Marine) and a bunch of my buddies who are all enlisted. I'm not trying to drop them down a peg, I'm just trying to say I don't want to be hated as an MP, such as being a PFC and pulling over a Ssgt and giving him hell about everything just because I could as an MP. My brother does this all the time. Sorry to whoever I might've offended, some of my other posts look offensive but I didn't mean them that way. Plus I have no room to talk mess back at people who have made it to where I hopefully want to be one day. When that day comes, I'll be happy to speak my mind. Now, I will keep it in with a smile.
