A Great Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was awesome. It was made even better because my son (L/Cpl) was home on leave. Got to celebrate my birthday and his. Only have him a couple more days. Enjoy them while you have them.

well, what a wonderful time it must have been! We also had our Marine home for Thanksgiving AND it was also his birthday! What a scene at the airport! Family, banners, singing the Hymn! It was great!
i read a post before and i cant remember who posted so forgive me for not giving proper credit to the poster, but it goes like this:
18 years like the blink of an eye
13 weeks like an eternity
10 days not nearly long enough

My son got busted speeding on the drive home, had to report back to the base immediately, barracks restriction till the week-end was over. NJP on his record now. Kinda screwed up the week-end plans.

Sorry to hear about you son. Our young Marines are growing up and sometimes growing up can cause problems. Talked to mine tonight. He should be home for Christmas. Here's hoping all our Marines are safe this holiday season.
