    Doc's

I really don't know why there aren't more Corpsman on here nor why us here don't make more comments.
Me? I served with the 2nd Bn 10th Marines at Camp Lejeune, (1964-68), and loved it. I really wanted to re-enlist but had a fear that I would then wind up working at some Naval Hospital and for me that wouldn't have been as good as serving with the Corps. I have great respect for all of our military and all the different jobs they have, but I loved being attached with the Marines. They are the greatest. I never did wear a Navy uniform after Corps School, it was always a Marine uniform with my Navy insignia. I loved the floats down to Vieques and the time out in the field at Lejeune and Ft. Bragg. Those were the good days.
Hey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Marine Corps today.

I just am not able to get on here daily. Work keeps me busy, and when I go home, I try not to have to touch a computer.

Greenside was the best duty of my 10 years.

    OUTSTANDING!!!
    Keep it comming Docs.
I remember back in the day that there were like
2 Docs to every GOD knows how many Marines.
That was at The Stumps and they worked their a$$es off
like dogs keeping us hydrated if not alive.
Those Men had no problem chewing Jarhead a$$
to keep us going. We did.
    Thanks DOC All of you.

Amen Danny! I remember the docs coming by and asking us how many times we made a head call to see if we were hydrating enough in 29 Stumps! I remember having to drink two nice, full, warm canteens of water while the docs watched me, hehe. Good times!!!

Ooh-rah Docs and Marines! Happy Veterans Day!

    You know it Cpl
Drank warm canteen water until I nearly puked! lol.
Those Men had a zero tolerance dehydration policy
and a damn good reason for it.
    Thanks Doc

I remember this one to well.
I had been in the Stumps a little over 2 weeks.
We went on a 16 mile hump just for the HELL of it.
Well, after 2 weeks we Boots were supposed to be
aclimated to the desert conditions. Yeah Buddy.
I ain't ashamed to admit this either.
After about mile 8 I was later told, I woke up in the back of a stiffling
Hummer, with nothing on but skivvies and one Corpsman feeding
me warm, nasty salt water and another pouring water all over me.
You can imaging I came up ready to rock and roll!
Well said Corpsmen slammed my ass back down and continued
    with the opperation at hand.
    Again, Thanks Doc.
