Hey Sailor maybe you should have put this in the ***** thread. FMF Corpsman actually serve in the FMF. Bridgeport is not the FMF, Quantico is not the FMF, MCRD is not the FMF. Navy Hospitals are not the FMF. You have to actually have served with a victor unit to get the disignator. Step away from the crack pipe!

Wow. Not the response I would have expected. If this is the way this forum works it'll be my last post and last visit.

The literally hundreds of Marines I patched up never called me "sailor" jackhole.

Is this the new Corps? When I was in Marines respected Docs. I was a damn good Doc. I had the respect of every Marine under my responsibility. I don't understand the disrespect I am getting here. Volunteered for everything I could. I received NAM for saving a fellow Marines home when they were gone. I damn near died doing it. I thought this was a place for like minded grunts. I did my duty. I did it honorably. I went where I was told to go and did what ever was asked. But here I get disrespect.

Maybe you are too young and self centered,A feeling of self importance? You are just like everyone else who has a job to do,nothing more or less. You didn't even meet the basic requirement to try for the FMF pin,get real and grow up.

How could someone in the Navy possibly be insulted by being called Sailor?
In my mind Doc is reserved for those swabbies that crawled through the mud and the blood and the beer with the Marines.

The squeaky wheel does get the grease so maybe you were thinking complaining loud enough and long enough you might get a pin.

My kids baseball team needs a pitcher. Everyone on the team gets a trophy. You should try out for it.

Hmmm.... You assume too much. First, I am no kid. Second, I wasn't sitting in a nice office my entire enlistment. I went to FMSS [check], I went in the field in supprt of a Marine Corps unit [check], I was proficient in weapons handling [check], I ran the Marine Corps PFC every year [check], I participated in every command function [check]. So how was that again??? What was it I didn't do? Mud, blood, beer [CHECK!]

If it were just a Navy command there would have been no requirement to attend FMSS. Can your pea brain understand that?

I wasn't complaining loudly to try to get a pin. I was sharing my frustration to a community that I thought could understand it. Maybe you should go back and actually read what I posted. You remind me of Eric Holder.

I can understand it if you disagreed with what I was saying, but to tell me to step away from the crack pipe and to disrespect me and my service was a poor thing to do. If you can't see that I feel sorry for you. You got e-courage to insult someone for no damn good reason on a forum that is supposed to be about brotherhood.

The eventual point of what I was saying before the jackholes took over the thread was that I want to try to get into a reserve unit, but only a unit that will put me in the field, doing what I was trained to do. I want to EARN that FMF designation and wanted to know if there any non-jackasses that could provide some advice.

You are thoroughly and completely an idiot. Which explains the mighty accomplishment of E-5 in 15 years. Way to go hero! There were and are plenty of Marines to whom I was and am "Doc" and no piece of shat like you will change that.

How's the wife and kids? Lord have mercy on anyone attached to you for life. You got nothing but e-courage and e-thuggery going for you.

For everyone else, I apologize for letting this piece of garbage get under my skin. I tried my best to keep it above board.
