Hey Dave, you know you have been a personal mentor, a motivator, and quite frankly a friend that anyone would love to have. It is your commitment to the Corps that reminds me of my own and continues to motivate me and mentor my own "junior Marines" Its hard hearing you aren't doing well, but it hasn't been the first time...you are going to pull through. My dear friends,

As I sit here this morning, reading your post, I am heart touched. I have had a terrible week and I have wanted to die several times. Then I look at my lovely wife and children and grandkids, I remember that my fate is in the hands of the almighty! I wonder, at times, why the Good Lord is putting me thru this. Then I remember that he has a mission that I have not completed as yet.

When I see the love from this forum, from my friends, I begin to understand that I really do have friends, that I haven't even met, that are sending a whole hearted prayer to the Good Lord in my behalf.

Rest assured, my brothers and sisters, that when I get to the gate, I will make sure that I stand post where each of you will have no trouble finding me when you get there.

On days that I suffer most....I thank GOD! He will not put on me more than I can endure....PERIOD!

I am sorry, but I am not taking phone calls, even from my family. I just don't have the composure to talk at this time. However, you may send your written thoughts to my home address;
