    One of two things it could have been.

    The gooks had their own way of communicating with drums, or banging sticks.

    But I'm thinking that you maybe thinking of the F*ck Yu bird.

    Remember that bird, when ever we went anywhere in the bush, it sounded like that was what that bird was saying where ever we went, F*uK Yu, F*uK Yu, F*uK Yu, F*uK Yu, sounded like he had the hick-ups, or some Marine had trained one to say those words in early 66' and that bird tained the others... LOL

    This is not that sound, but reminded me of it. I wonder what type of bird that was...
