Well yeah humidity is one thing but San Diego has dry heat. You dehydrate a lot faster in hot weather.

Well I doubt that, humid heat feels hotter and you sweat alot more so I would say that you will dehydrate alot faster in parris island than San Diego

I have lived in Alabama and San Diego, you dehydrate a lot faster in dry heat. Your body literally dries out your mouth is chapped, it's terrible. While humid heat isn't fun as long as you aren't a ***** you'll be fine dry heat is when people start dropping.

Breathing dry heat dries your mouth, much of the water that is lost is from breathing. That being said if water evaporates in the dry heat there is less cooling effect and more need to continue to sweat. While if it is hot and humid you will sweat but your sweat will not be able cool you down anyway. Either way it doesn't matter, if you stay hydrated which they will make you do then you are fine.

The biggest danger of humidity is that it is harder to notice that you are actually dehydrated. If you can't handle the heat you could always join the Navy and go to Illinois....stay a civilian and keep in Air conditioning.

Hey guys. My ship date to PI just got moved up to 201102222.... Would anybody happen to know what company (and thus the graduation date) would be? I know you can find all the 2011 ship dates online but I can't correlate them to ship dates.

Thanks and good luck to everybody headin to boot camp soon!
