    New Poolee

I went to the MEPS today, did Medical and swore in (took ASVAB in January). Was a long and very boring process, but somehow the staff and I always found a way to make the day a little bit worth while. Haven't signed for a job yet, but I am leaning towards Security Forces. I ship to MCRD Parris Island 20100208. See you guys there!

Yeah I had a question about the no "Oorah" rule...

Because yesterday at the IST, the MEPS USMC Commander, a Sergeant Major, was having us chant things like...

    SgtMaj: MOTIVATED
    Everyone: DEDICATED

    Everyone: OORAH! OORAH! OORAH! KILL!

    yeah same here.

When it's in a Marine Corps event and the Marines deem it ok, that's fine. But just a rule on this site. I noticed that too at pool functions. I always hesitate to say it from being on this site.
