FLORIDA: Two brothers started the world's longest trans-Atlantic voyage in a flats boat to raise $3 million for military charities for fallen Marines.

Ralph and Robert Brown kicked off their 6,200-mile trip from Tampa, Fla., to Germany which includes 20 stops along the North American and European Atlantic coasts.

On Sunday, they made their first stop on Pine Island.

One of the brothers, a former Marine, made the promise nearly 30 years ago to never forget his fellow Marines who died in a combat mission he was supposed to go on.

In 2007, the Brown brothers landed a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records using a flats boat to get to Bermuda.

This trip will be another world record.
