Anyone experienced with USMC MECEPS program?

From researching the Internet, it sure looks like the Corps' MECEP program is the hottest thing since sliced bread!

Here is what I have discovered so far:

1) The selected Marines continue to receive their current pay-grade
salary the entire time they are in college, and continue to be eligible
for promotions and earning additional TIS / TIG....

2) Commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in USMC upon graduation.

3) If they should fail-out of school, they simply return to their previous
Unit in their enlisted MOS....

4) Must have a minimum ASVAB AFQT score of 74.....


Questions I still have:

1) How many applicants are there (per-year) for this program?

2) How many applicants are ACCEPTED (per-year) for this program?

3) I assume it is extremely competitive?

4) Do prior college credits factor into the selection process?


All other information anyone can provide would be very helpful!!
