    I hear you brother.

I was in the upper 1800's in the reserves. Promotions were closed forever. That's why I'm a seven year cpl (active and reserve).

Then I gout out in March. April the promotions opened at 16XX....

    Such is life.

But, congrats to you on reenlisting!

I just went down my DD-214, picked out all my ribbons and devices from the surplus store, and spent hours trying to get everything in order. I finally got them squired away, and hung it up. Wife walks in, looks at it, and states how the stars are off.
I used it the way it was (Honor guard for funeral). (Delta's)
I came home, and ordered all new ribbons, Devices, all pre-mounted, Mil-Thin, and Magnetic backing from www.usmedals.com
I've heard good things about this style, so we will see.
Cost wise, it's about the same as I paid for the ribbons and all in the first place.

if you spread the two legs behind the star(s) and line them up on the same horizon then streche them out you'll have the star(s) pointing the right way AND not rotating on you...

just make sure the point goes up... had a problem with a star on my sea service.

It's been so many years, I forgot that we used to clip the prongs off, and use super-glue.
    Man I'm getting old....

I don't do that 'cause either way the damn things aren't usable again...
