Tax free cars in Montana?

Just bought a new Jeep - 04 Rubicon w/ 6" suspension Lift, 35x12.5" mudders, dana 44 front and back 4:10 gear ratio - hell yes. Anyways, the guy that sold it to me was saying that a lot of military folk when they buy a car register it in Montana since it they don't tax vehicles up there. He acted like it was a pretty common thing. Has anyone done it? What all do I have to do to set that up?

Montana does not have sales tax. Remember that you have to have an actual address to register it up there. Dont mess around with trying to get out of paying tax if they catch it, it means trouble.

The democraps get away without paying taxes (until they get nominated for a cabinet position (usely on knees facing away from taxi-cab ears))!!!!!!!

There are private P.O. boxes that look like addresses, and for a fee you can have mail forwarded, in effect living wherever you want. Just remember the "fee" part. Is it worth it?
