Montana around here if you mention Hay everyone disappears nowhere to be found.
Can't count the hay just me and my wife put up in the past
Now I'm so damn cripple I can't do that and pay to have it put in the barn $6.50 a bale for grass hay.

Morning Cowboy Marines,
Redman, Cody, Stretch and Hayes say hello
All horse are doing good, Hayes has gained about 10 lbs in two weeks.
Hayes needs about 40 lbs more to be right
Its amazing how people let horses go and don't feed them
No work today so going to mess around with the horses.
I get along better with horses these days verses people
My horses never let me down.
Hope all of you have a GREAT day

Morning Cowboy Marines,
Montana glad you last bale of hay is off the ground its got to be a good feeling especially when its sold already.
Wish I could come and visit even my wife would like it.
My wife went to a tracking school before I met her she also used to compete in fast draw competitions before I met her.
Going to spend the weekend enjoying the horses and other animals.
Have a GREAT day and weekend.

Morning Cowboy Marines,
Had a good day yesterday but didn't ride.
Just spent the time cleaning up around the barn.
Scraping poo with tractor
Scraping the paddock at the big barn.
At least the wife and me had good time together.
Today hope to ride a little.
Montana wish I was going in the Mountains with you and all those pack horses.
Horses need a trim and Hayes needs shoes.
Haven't decided if I'm going to shoe Redman and Stretch on the front or not. They don't wear any shoes in winter.
Since we can't ever ride Cody anymore he will never wear shoes again.
It's really sad to see your good horse that's been a good loyal friend not to be able to ride again. You can look in his eyes and he wants to ride you.
Just can't put him down yet.
Have a GREAT day Semper Fi Redman1

Redman, This article appeared in todays local paper. Fvckin sick azzholes in this world. I think when they catch the fvcksticks they should be tied up, laid on the ground and stampeded by a herd of wild Mustangs. Read the article and see what you think. Good Morning Cowboy Marines,
mcvet- that's a screwed - up story, animal thievery is still a serious offense here and that person would be punished severely especially with a few abuse charges I'd say 3-5 yrs. We had a guy get a year for stealing someones pig a few yrs. ago and there was no abuse in that case.
Hope you all have a good day..

Montana thanks for sharing the pics wish I was there.
Things need to be like in the old days a thief would get his hand cut off and so on that would put a stop to most bad things.
Hope all of you have a great day.
Didn't feel good today so I just stayed in and I hate that.

Had a story to tell now that my backside isn't so sore. Went hayin' with my father-in-law...hell I'll just call him dad from now on.
Went hayin' for the first time ever early last year. He takes me to this barn on Black's Road. Nice enough place about 10 years ago, lots of cast iron and steel gear all over the place, older pieces of farm equipment that would last longer than you or I if you kept them up.
This guy of course let them all go. He did have the lift working so the loft was chock full of hay. All sorts of chaff and seeds and bugs too but that ain't much really. So Gene backs the truck up to the loft opening, we get the ladder up and start forking loose hay into the bed of his truck. He wants to put it down in the fields as well as in his garden for the weeds and what not. So we're pitching load after load out the window and sweeping up the chaff as best we can. Figure there's finally a good load in there, so he tells me to head on down.
Naturally I get the notion in my head that I can jump down from the loft and land in the bed of the truck on a nice bed of hay. Well no sh!t I'm in the air and not landing right, so of course I hit my head on the rear of the truck. Too bad there wasn't more hay in there, instead of cushioning me it basically stabs me and provides enough support so that my entire spine isn't broken... but I'll be damned if it don't feel like it.
Turns out that after a few beers I was fine.

It's bull kicker

The Man in the vest was a gunny, the one on either side were corporals. The fellow with his back to the camera was a SSgt. Wrangler clown was a professional rodeo clown. Ahh to be young and dumb again. Wacey Cathey rode his last bull professionally at the age of 41. Donny Gay continued riding exhibition into his 40 as did his brother Pete. Jim Shoulders rode bulls until he was 50 and went on to a successfull rodeo school for the lads.
I was a pretty decent calf roper as well but a little on the small side to be wrastling a 200 lb calf to the ground so stuck to rough stock events.
The signature on the picture is of the photographer.
