MEPS Disqualification
I am interested in joining the Marines and can't see myself doing anything else. The problem is that I have had atopic dermatitis since I was a kid and have it documented in my medical history. I haven't had any outbreaks in a while and if I do start to get one I just use a topical ointment and it usually clears up in a day or two. I know that this condition is one of the permanent disqualifying factors in being able to join the military. I was wondering if anyone has known somebody in the Marines who was able to obtain a medical waiver for skin conditions like dermatitis? From what I've read it's one of the conditions that is less likely to be waiverable. I also had ACL reconstruction surgery when I was 17 (about 4 years ago) but it gives me no trouble and I have medical proof of such. Anyhow any information or advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Sweetie - anything is possible. Talk to a Recruiter.
