Upstate Young Marines recruiting girls, boys

Upstate Young Marines is enrolling local boys and girls from 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 24 at the Mauldin Cultural Center, 101 E. Butler Road, for its next recruit training class.

The class will start for new members at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 in the Mauldin Cultural Center.

The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through high school completion. It promotes the mental, moral and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
