MCT is a B billet just like recruiting and DI duty.. among others.

It is an important "phase" in your basic training.

years ago they had Warrior Week in boot camp with about a week or two of combat training after boot camp.

now you get trained more efficiently and given the mental tools you need when you are NOT in a victor unit.

I suppose it was easy for you because you played football or did some other activity when you were still in school, but not everyone comes from your family... and they won't think the same way as you.
