Looking for 1981 Tustin helicopter crash survivor

    Good day,

Back in 1981 I was serving as a Corpsman and stationed at the helicopter base in Tustin, CA. On February 11th, a CH-53 and a CH-46 collided in mid air over the base. Six Marines were killed, but one, by the grace of God, survived. I took care of him on the ride to the ER and saw him at the memorial service. I have often wondered how he is doing and pray for him often. I have researched the internet trying to learn his name, but to no avail.

Any help to locate him would be much appreciated. I don't have any other information other than he was on the CH-53.

And a big thanks to the Marine Corps for taking such good care of me between 1977 and 1981. Some of the best memories in my life! Kilo Co. 3rd Bat. 3rd Mar. 1st. Mar. Brigade and VMFP3

I remember a mid air colision at NAS Fallon between a CH 46 and a CH 53 outside NAS Fallon where a civilian was involved in 89' but not one in the 81'. Did a little guard watch that week. The 46 Bent a Rotor and split the Cabin. Pilot still landed her!!!! TAPS for the 53
