    Need an Opinion

I scanned my Dad's old 1954 Boot Camp Platoon picture, enlarged it and am trying to figure out which one is him. This guy looks close to my 1975 Boot Camp photo. Pictures a little rough, but we were approx. the same age, and the resemblance is really close. I converted my picture to B&W to make the comparison clearer. Any serious Comments?

Not certain with the lighting but you seem to have the same chin. If anything he looks like he'd be your younger brother. I could try to enhance the image when I get home if you'd like.

I scanned it at 600 dpi but it is so old and cracked I couldn't enhance it any further. I compared all the faces and this one is the only one that caught my attention. I think the eyes and ears are a close match also. All my life my family has said at every age that I am the mirror image of Dad.

The jaw line is what really stands out for me. I'll try to enhance it when I get home.

    Great! Thanks.

I can see the jaw line and the eyes look like they have the same slanting's on the top of the eyes. The 1954 picture does look like a younger version or a close sibling

Looks like YOU to me - I think you got the right one. Is there nobody still alive that could tell you for sure?

Is this a Whose Your Daddy Quest?

    That's got to be him:

Look at his ear, that's it.

Naw, Dad passed away 9 years ago and Mom last July. I aquired this picture from her personal effects. Hadn't seen it in all my 51 years. Don't know why Dad never shared it with me. Got the full picture posted in my profile pictures.

Looks like a match to me. Even down to the shape of the mouths.

I see the beginning of a smirk in your boot camp pic; looks like salt to me!

In your dad's boot camp pic, which row/column is he? I'm gonna blow that full pic up and remove the damage.

He's setting directly to the left of the Drill Instructors.

    Another posibility

This guy is top row, just to the left of the tall guy in the middle.
