* I don't know how this can be done with the internet and privacy...but from my experience of being in various VA and civilian hospitals when you address the letter to him at the VAMC and he gets discharged before your card arrives they send it back to the sender. If any way is possible to put his home address in the return/from it will insure that he gets them upon discharge.

Don't know how to do this with out given private info....but,just a thought.
