    Marine Corps Birthday

    So a few days ago the guy replacing windows in my house found out I enlisted in the Marines. As it turns out, he is Marine and he served in Vietnam in 1970, so he invited me to down to the bar downtown to celebrate the Corps' birthday with him. It was quite an experience sitting down talking (I guess I was doing more listening than talking) to a three Marines from the Vietnam era and one from OIF who fought in Fallujah. It was one of the most motivating things I have ever experienced.

    bstewar09, I just experienced my first birthday in the Marine Corps and let me tell you what, it was awesome. There were quite a few retired Marines from the Marines Corps League at our ball, it was an honor to know that I share the same title as these great men. I now consider November 10th my birthday and you will too someday
