I shipped another one out to PI ....

...my son's fiance' left last Monday for PI. She will be in inteligence out in CA for 1.5 years. She is like a doaughter to us and we are so proud of her. While Dave was in on a 92 hour leave he popped the question so I guess I get not only a new daughter but a new Marine as well. Dave

Just curious but what do you mean she's going to be out in California for 1.5 years doing intel? She hasn't even made it through the school let alone boot camp yet. Just wondering?

    Congrats though!

Her contract with the U.S. Marine Corps. lists her MOS as a Cryptologic Linguist. This MOS takes 1.5 years and is in CA. after her boot and her MCT training. Dave

I know that she had to take a some type of test to see if she qualified for this MOS before she signed. Dave

Sorry, I was just confused because you said she'd be in Intelligence for 1.5 years. You meant she'll be going to school for that period.

Just some insight. Following MCT, she'll have to go to her MOS school first and learn her job, then she can go to DLI in California and learn her language and she may not be there for that long. It just depends on what language they give her.

Correct. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks, Dave
