    The only thing you loose with a General Discharge is the education benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill. You are elligable for all other benefits, even if it is General UOTH conditions. You cannot collect compensation for an injury that is deemed the result of "willful misconduct" (ie: high on drugs, fall down stairs and break your leg resulting in permanent leg injury), otherwise you can collect compensation for a service related injury. The ONLYdischarge that bars you from collecting any benefits at all is DISHONORABLE, otherwise, you can get VA benefits.
