    Range 410

    my son spoke of range 410 at twentynine palms as being very tough.he starts tomorrow.can anyone shed some light on this training.he is an 0331

    It depends if he goes up the big hill, or the other big hill.

    It is a difficult range because of the terrain and weather.

    0331's have to run then walk then climb their way up a hill to a firing postion in support of the advancing company.

    It is not fun.

    All ranges at 29 Palms are a bit challenging due to the heat and desert terrain. You son's NCOs will ensure he is both physically fit and well hydrated to tackle these challenges. He is in good hands

    He will most likely be doing fire and manuever drills as a fireteam and learning his MOS with a more tactical approach rather than the classroom environment at SOI.

    thank you sirs for your replies.SGT VAS im sure he is in good hands im not worried about him just very interested in his training.heat doesnt seem to bother him since bridgeport lol.
