Does anyone know when the new CFT will go into effect?

I was reading an article a while back about a new Combat Fitness Test that the Marine Corps was looking to implement alongside the PFT, and perhaps one day to replace the PFT. Has anyone heard anything else about it?

so far the HQMC has said that the CFT will be implemented as table two is with the rifle range now... meaning "it will most likely add points to your PFT score for promotion purposes." said my MSgt.

my take on that is don't think it'll get too complicated, you'll run the PFT one day then the CFT the next if the Corpsmen have it their way.

they complained and had a 1 mile boots and utes run along with the ammo can standing skull crushers removed for obvious safety concerns.

on topic: I've heard you'll need it for score starting this next fiscal year... start training now!

Our 2nd quarter PFTs have been pushed back to October so we can do our CFTs in September. So, from that, and what our CO 1st Sgt said I think we're doing ours then.
