    my son is in charlie co. i'm so proud of him but of course nervous as he is embarking on a most important journey as we speak. i am trying to look online at the parris island site, and it seems to be offline all day. anyone know anything about this? i tried calling the base but there was no answer.

    Well, it's just after 0800 and I guess they have completed their 6 mile hike into the Crucible and are into their Day Movement Resupply Course. Wish I was there !!! Dave
