Hygienics during Boot Camp

I have dry, sometimes flaky skin. I religiously put on lotion as much as I brush my teeth. I was wondering if there is access to lotion during boot camp? I could easily suck up the minimal discomfort, but I would just like to know. I talked to a private who just came out of boot camp and he told me to just bring it. I don't know if he was being serious or not.

You can't bring it, but you can buy it from the recruit PX. There's some kind of thick cocoa butter stuff that smells like cake and attracts sand fleas (which shouldn't be a problem for you since you're going to SD).

yeah, the drill instructors will make you use it a lot... if they care about that stuff... if you bring it, it'll get bagged up with your personal effects and it'll be waiting for you when you get done... it's kinda like jail now that I think about it.... hahaa, yeah... jail.
