Was reading chain of command comments posted along with some MOS reports. When I went to language school in the DC area in 1961-62, I was a Marine attached to a Navy unit working for a civilian agency on an Army base my immediate military superior was an Air Force Lt Col! Can anyone top that mess?

I sure can't. Sounds like my brother in laws office when he was assigned to the NSA. It was crazy. He had two chains of command with duties in both with superiors in two different branches and a civilian supervisor.

From 1975 to 1978 I was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. I worked for the Defense Communications Agency - Europe. I was attached to MB London, but never reported there...all admin was done through the mail. My immediate supervisor was an Army WO and my division chief was an Air Force Lt.Col. I was the NCOIC of the Comm Center and I had an Air Force T/Sgt, a Navy 1st Class, and an Army Sgt working for me. I lived on the other side of town in Army housing (Pattonville LOL). There were only about a dozen Marines on the post but we put on a Birthday Ball that would have made any post proud. Because there was nothing set up for Marine Gunnys, the Navy Chiefs were kind enough to allow me to join their organization. Who said they weren't nice guys? At any rate, anyone who served in a joint command had similar experiences.

    PS
My MOSes..2542 Comm Center, 2549, Comm Center Chief, was made a 28XX something or another which was a Satellite Controller but never work as one. Got out just after that. In the Army National Guard I was a 96D Senior Intelligence Analyist, and in Iraq I worked as Operations Sergant (no MOS) but was assigned as the NBC NCOIC which I was never qualified to be...go figure.
