When i was in I was a field wireman 2511. I guess the numbers have changed, but the job is the same.Switchboards, laying wire and recovering it,.Te only time i climbed poles was in school in Pendelton. I was with 4-10 arty in Lejeune, where I hooked up comm to the 155s then i want to Okie, 3rd Mar Div Comm Co wire plt. I had a great time good luck to you and enjoy your time in the Corps Semper FI
