while at KMCAS i only wore my CAR...I know for a fact that the Army gives out the Combat "Readiness" Ribbon...without being in actual combat...i guess the higher up one is...they don't have to wear the silly ones..

Unless I am mistaken service members are only "required" to wear their senior most 3 ribbons except at inspections.

The thing to remember is he's Army. But for the Marine Corps, I have read (cant remember where) that if you have to many to fit properly on your uniform, then you can actually have a page 11 entry writen up authorizing you to only where personal awards. Well what I read was in reference to small female as myself, so I dont know about males. Also, he's a Gen. for the love of God, he'll do as he pleases and whose gonna tell him otherwise???
