OK...Let's try this in the correct place....
Good Morning All....
Sunny, 59 here in central NJ.
Working on first cup of coffee and trying to decide with my one brain cell what to do today. Sears is having a (in my words) "Try A-Thon" for most of their Lawn and Garden products. Might go get a new mower...
Later !!

Not true Rocky. You can pour concrete into a hole filled with water, and concrete displaces the water, and will still set up under water. Not adviseable to pour flatwork in the rain, although it can be done, but footings and pilings are just fine. If your contractor told you otherwise he's just making excuses for not getting wet working in the rain. It's done all the time here. Unless the building codes are different there. But all ya gotta do is cover the wet concrete with some plastic to protect it from the rain washing the face off of it. SF

Everything is at a standstill Bob.
The only thing done is the 2 decks gone.
This is what the Contractor said.
First he has to dig through my asphault driveway and other areas 5 holes for the 4x4 posts 42 inches deep and insert those cardboard tubes. Then the building inspector has to come out and measure the depth of the holes. Then he has to pour the concrete and insert these giant threaded bolts in them because that is what is going to secure these galvinized 4x4 box looking things that the posts go into so there is no potential for rotting as the posts are not going directly into the concrete.
Then the Building Inspector has to come out AGAIN and look at the footings to make sure they are correct with no cracking.
Then they build the deck and AGAIN the Building Inspector has to come out and inspect it and issue an Occupancy permit.
I knew it wasn't gonna take 2 days, it's gonna take a Friggin Month!!!!!

Rocky the only thing I would do different is use 4x6 or 6x6 I hate 4x4's because over the years they warp.
Good luck on the deck its going to look nice when done.
All you need is all those virtual women sitting around

I invited you here 2 weekends in a row.
Now I gotta go there???
I love cheese but I am not going to Wisconsin ( the cheese state ).
I thought maybe you'd like to Experience Newport, Rhode Island on a Weekend getaway, Rocky style.
No expectations as I am a Gentleman. Just a Great Adventure. The kind of things that Wonderful memories are made of.
The Invitation is valid forever but I will not ask again.........
Your Friend,
Rocky

That is one hell of a proposition from an astute businessman.....
My advice would be...before either party proceeds to set up a meeting and get it in writing.....
Then you will both know what you are in for when you set up the pre-nups.
Rocky, whatever you do and wherever you go make sure that you set up a clause in the contract.....that you keep the crock pot.
