One nice thing about the VFW and the League, some of the members are the same, so the wife and I drink a few beers and myself and the Marines swap stories and Ann gets more and more introduced to the Marine life.

JAG say hello to your wife Purple and let her know she's part of this great group and for everyone when I say Good Morning Marines, that means Doc, Ladies, Gary and everyone else that tunes in this site. When you start mentioning names you will always leave someone out. I never want to leave anyone out in my post because all of you are important to me and are more of my family than my own.
I've never been close to anyone before this site. Even my wife likes me getting close you all of you.
There's nothing like talking to someone that's been in your shoes before. Even the one's of you that are not Marines know or are close to a Marine which makes you act like one of us.
Having a great day just relaxing. Needed to go outside but don't feel to good so I'm watching the tube.
May go outside soon especially if my wife has anything to do with it.
She's making me rice crispy treats, we have a new recipe and they are called brown rice crispy treats. Some of the ingredients are almond butter, barley malt, raw chocolate powder, cashews.

I did the MCL thing here in my hometown, Great bunch of Marines and treated me like gold. However, they are of a different generation and not my type of "friend set". I prefer this type interaction as opposed to hangin out after the meetings with all the bar talk. This seems more my speed.

    Afternoon Marines and DocGreek.
Sorry I was quiet this morning and just a quick hello.
    Bad dreams last night.
I'ts amazing what 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with a slice of tomatoe and a nap will do for an attitude adjustment.
Where the h*ll is Ray aka NoRemorse?
Ok Brothers and Sisters got to answer the PM's and check my other theads.

Good evening all. Sleep patterns are all mixed up lately so here I am. I've had a craving for SOS on biscuits and eggs over easy lately. All this talk about weight has found me eating cantalope for breakfast then going out and walking for an hour each day. Actually reduced my blood pressure doing that. The doctor says my blood pressure looks much better and I could reduce my pulse rate if I would cut out caffeine and nicotine. Are you kidding? I cut out beer, I cut out manly breakfasts, I'm eating rabbit food for supper and now you want me to give up coffee and chewing tobacco. Dang man should I just become a monk?

I'm the POS that SSgt Ramsey was referring to in that other thread. I wish he would just let it go. I did.

Have a good evening and a Semper Fi day tomarrow.

I caught that also. Perhaps when he gets settled into the new house things will be OK.

Got some more videos from the air show. This time though I went down to my work, and climbed up on a wash rack that is only a half mile from the airport. In one video, you can hear me cuss. Sorry about that but they snuck up on me and flew just 200 feet over my head. Scared the sh!t out of me, and damn near blew out my ear drums. The videos for the Angels start with the one titled First Blue Angels video, and end with the one that says the last. Hope you all enjoy em. Being right under their approach path for the air show, and elevated on a 20 foot platform, was awesome. The redi-mix trucks and concrete plant you see in some of the videos is where I work. SF

In the second video what is the second plane? It looks like an OV-10 but I didn't think they flew that fast. Great videos one and all!

All the short videos before the Angels are of the P-38 Lightning and F-22 flying formation, and the support plane for the Blue Angels. SF

Saw a Blue Angel, fusilage rivets and all, on a fly over on top of an 20 story building once. Didn't scare the cr@p out of me because I was...sort of...expecting it but it did sneak up on me while I was watching the other members of the group. It was like slow motion even though it wasn't. I can compare it to the time a bald eagle left it's perch and soared directly overhead and look down at us, not more than twenty feet above us, as we were standing on a dock in Haines, Alaska. Frik'n magnificent.
    Great videos, mcvet57103.

When ever I see the Blue Angels, or the Thunderbirds, I get this feeling of patriotism that is indescribable. To see them, or the Marine Silent Drill team in action, makes me as an American stand taller and straiter. God bless those who commit themselves to such procission. And God bless those who fight so the Blue Angels, Silent Drill Team and ThunderBirds have the oportunity to show the civilian American, and the world the strength, and might of this great country. OoooRaaah, and Semper Fi.
