I gained six pounds just looking at the recipe.
I'll let the wife do it this weekend, thanks for sharing
I do allot of cooking but I let her do some cooking when its suppose to taste good.
I treat her special during the week and she treats me special on weekends.
    Good combination.

Yeah I can blame the Corps on the Move, they sent me to my A school just outside of Memphis and well I met this little blonde who refused to move to Caly.

Chumley's CHILIFEST is held annually, always the Saturday night before Superbowl Sunday. The theme is simple: Chili and Chilly. It's indoor/outdoor at my house in Ballston Lake, NY. It starts promptly at 17:00, which means Ramon packs up the wagon for a 3 hour drive at 0 dark thirty and is approximately 6 hours early. (I'll be ready for you next year Dawg!)
This year was perfect weather!! Approximately 1.5 feet of snow on the ground with a firepit for ambiance, 19 degrees, but no wind for comfortable fire-pit socialization, and as much food as we can afford to put out; Chumley's Chili, of course, is the main course. Ramon's SOS is now a fixture of the event as well. Working on a child friendly definition of SOS for next year. It's family friendly, although the conversation around the fire strongly resembles the barracks. Finish the evening with S'Mores and of course additional Cervesa. I've been meaning to post pics from this year... ( not my strength - downloading the camera - took me a year to get my photos on Leatherneck ). Next year, I'm gonna encourage football jerseys - doesn't matter what team is in the game. Attendees wearing Vikings jerseys can take some Chili home with them, if there's any left.
Put it on your 2010 calendar!

There's a contest at the Chili Fest: to see who can mount two graham crackers, chocolate and a marshmallow on a stick from a nearby tree in the fastest time and then eat it.

I won't tell you who currently holds the record.

Come hungry, leave stuffed.... or roll away... If you fall over and pass out you're fair game for my dog.

    HAHAHA...I'm the first one, finally!

Morning to all. I'm not sure why all you leathernecks aren't at work already like I am? (Unless you're retired).

Have a presentation to give today so I'm in early to go over it. Skipped breakfast too so someone make sure and have some JD sausage and eggs for me, please!

Everyone have a great day and Semper Fi!

Good morning, Marines!!! Started off the day right... with PT. Then I had Cream of Wheat... not quite a Warrior's breakfast but still good.

MCVet, watch out with them squirts!

No grits? I'd kill for a sausage omelet stuffed with peppers, spanish onions, mushrooms and a healthy "squirt" of tobasco.

I think I'll dig a slit trench in the yard over the weekend to accomodate that breakfast.

Morning all, coffee and apple cinnamon pancakes for the little man, suppose to get into the mid 70's today with severe thunderstorms to follow. Got to say you guys sure do eat a lot of Mexican food for breakfast, not sure my septic system could handle it as often as you guys eat it.
