12-10-11, 09:33 AM #18064Especially when it is not expected. Remember throwing the football with one of my sons. There was a time when I used to wave him further away from me, he would catch the ball and then run in to throw it back to me. Then came the time when I would wave him in so I didn't have to throw the ball so far (the distance that I used to throw it). I don't even want to talk about the time that my sons practiced their ju-jitsu on me. Ouch! I wouldn't have traded those experiences and moments for anything."Old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time."

It's 0345 here. Been up most of the night. Drank some wine while watching the Army/Navy game yesterday afternoon. Fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 0130, Been up since then. Watching "The Man from Snowy River" on AMC. Great movie. I recommend it to all horse lovers.

Morning all. Another rotten night's sleep filled with those dreams too many of us have. Gave up trying to fall back to sleep as a bad job.
61 going to 68 today. It looks like we'll get some rain for certain today. It was drizzling when I took the fur posse out.
Fall field day continues. Galley will be done today then on to cleaning #2 daughter's desk area. #2 daughter made SOS for dinner last night. Yum, yum. She uses the official Marine Corps recipe. My son can't get enough of the stuff.
Navy beat Army - again!
Stay safe out there.

Good morning. No rah-rah, up and at 'em greetings this morning. Have got to go in for another bout of skin cancer removal this morning along with some stitches removal from a previous procedure. Well, at least it's being taken care of and hopefully nothing will recur.
Enough about me. Here's hoping that you all do the best that you can today, no matter what the circumstance. Thinking about Rocky. I hope that he is doing okay. I wouldn't mind seeing him up and about but it's his clock and he sets the time. Right now it is about 72 with a high forecast at 79, a low at 69. I know that there will be some rain, I can feel it in my bones.
Adios, for now.

Morning to all. 64 going to 70. Been raining like hell here (we needed it even if my leaky roof didn't). Starting to slow down.
Good luck today, Gary. Thinking of Rocky too and hoping he can come back to join us again soon.
The galley field day is 100% done. #2 daughter is all tickled now that "her" kitchen is squared away the way she wants it. Now it's time for the bedrooms and closets.
Slept poorly again and up at 0445. Ah, well.
Stay safe out there, folks.
