Morning! It's still dark and almost 0500 in the a.m. Been up since 0300 putting together the final stages of a gas grill without making too much noise. (A work bench would have been nice to use.). Made some roast pork enchiladas for the Marine Recruiters yesterday. I must have caught them at the right time because those enchiladas disappeared rapido.
That's about it for now. Be good to yourselves. Outgoing prayers and well wishes to those in need.
Have the best day possible.

Morning all 73°F right now had some rain through out Kansas from Kansas City to Garden City yesterday made a trip to K.C.Mo. to pick up a car so we ran into rain up and back. I tell you there are some really dumb chit out on the road. Came up on an Accident where a concrete truck had lost control and rolled it. I don't know if he was badly hurt but that truck was a total loss. Also the Kansas State Troopers are out in force, enforcing the speed limited since they raised it up to 75 M.P.H.
Well hope everyone has a good weekend and stay safe and cool...

William, Wish you would have pushed that rain a few miles North
to Liberty, Mo. We only received a sprinkle last night. Ray

Morning All!
Ray - turned out that the showers were isolated. We got soaked in my neighborhood but a few miles from here it stayed dried as a bone. If I had the power I would send the rain to you and everyone else who needs it.
My grandson leaves for his pre-deployment training for Kuwait in 2 weeks. Just found out that his CO was my CO from my 2006 deployment and his SGTMAJ was my NCOIC from the same trip. The Major is now a Lt. Col and the Master SGT is now a Command Sgt Major. When we were leaving Iraq and were staying in the transit barracks, the Major came up to me and said that Sgt XXX (I won't use his name) said you could fix me up. I said, "Yes Sir!" and reached over got my large bottle of Listerine (cinnamon flavor I believe) and poured him a shot into a cup. He looked at me and said, "You mean to tell me that during the weekly Health and Welfare inspections you had whiskey set out in the open?" I told him I did because it was the one place they overlooked. He had a big laugh and in the next couple of days, he and the Master Sgt managed to put a good dent in the last quart I had left. I am going to wash out a couple of smaller bottles this week and fill them with our local brew, Jack D. and let my grandson go up to them and say, "My Granddad said you might be needing this!" I think it will be a good joke.
Prayers out to all in need!
Semper Fi
