Good morning at 0630. It is now about 77 degrees here in South Florida and the skies look grey. Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks on their win yesterday. They played better as a team. My Marine son just re-enlisted. I do believe that his reserve unit will be activated shortly. He put me on the list as a volunteer for some kind of family support group to handle incidentals and such. Beats the heck out of me what my tasks will be but I imagine, as the ball gets rolling, that I will soon find out. LOL.
Anyway, have the best day possible. Adios, for now.
    Gary

Morning All, Woke to T-storms rumbling through. 58 outside my window. Boss said stay home. Good. Feel kinda crappy this AM anyway. Got the house all to myself today. Nothing planned. Hmmmmm.......can you cook a small Turkey or a chicken in a slow cooker? Gotta go to cooks.com and find out.

Why go there? Just ask Rocky, the crock pot master. From what I understand some recipes just call for the addition of a can of cream of mushroom soup and maybe an onion or two. Cook away!!

    Morning All!
Warm and humid in West Tennessee with the possibility for isolated showers. Should reach the mid 90s easily. Hope everyone is fine today.

Trying to do some spring cleaning by getting my study/computer room cleaned up. Been on eBay looking for Academy Award winning movies to add to my collection. Every so often when I get a few spare bucks, I'll search eBay for a bargain or two. Been luck lately and have won some auctions for 99 cents and $1.04. I have over 60 of them now - closing in on completing the collection. My John Wayne collection is about two-thirds complete. About 75 or so more and it will be completed...never realized just how many movies and other videos he made over the years. The collection includes his TV appearances, commercials, documentaries, and cameo appearances.

Can't get any work done hanging around here.
    Everyone take care

    Semper Fi

    Thanks for the welcome, Doc.

Dropped my old '94 Nissan truck off at the wheel & tire shop today for a front end alignment because it's been driving squirrelly on the road.

They just called to say that 2 of the old shocks were leaking oil. Four (4) new ones all around is going to be $320. The squirrelly front end is due to worn out upper control arms - another $254.

I love having no car payments, but from time to time these old cars can take a chunk out of your arse.

Found a great crock pot recipe for Crock Pot Hamburger stew that you can use ground turkey in as a substitute. I was originally wandering if you could cook a whole small turkey or chicken in a crock pot. But this looked to good to pass up. In 6-8 hours should have a tasty meal ready for the wifey when she gets home.
