Yeah, here it is getting increasing harder to find young people willing to do actual physical hard work. They all want a cushy job setting at a computer all day. Never have I seen, especially with the economy the way it is, so many job openings at my work that they can't fill because it involves having to actually work. And our company pays a above average starting wage for the region.

Morning ALL, Setting here sipping coffee and munching on some cinnamin toast with the windows open enjoying the 68 degree morning. This afternoon I get to play bartender at the Ren Fest for three hours. Will be wearing my Marine Corps Kilt with all the appropriate trimmings. 78 for a high today with light winds and sunny skies will make it a great day for the Festival.

    Morning....er, afternoon.
Gloves to push the wheel barrow, really? and Leather ones weren't good enough, geesh, I wouldn't have minded some one buying me some gloves to work in.
As far as younger people and work, we have the same problem and pay is good. The ones we do hire are slow and whine more than the over 45 crowd.
Any way, speaking of work, I get all the fun of work tonight.
    Semper Fi all !

Back from volunteering at the local Ren Fest. Worked in the Mead and entertainment tent. Free Mead for volunteers so I enbibed just a smidgen. Had a great time, and got several compliments on my Marine Corps Kilt. Took the time to thank any and all Vets and current military service people I saw. I will definately volunteer for next year. If any of you have not been to a Ren Fest, they have them all over the country throughout the year. I highly recommend going. They are a blast. Whether you volunteer, dress for it or not. Food, fun, and entertainment for a small price.

With his gloves on? Now, that's really preventing blisters. LOL.
Good morning, everyone. It's in the high 70's right now and it will get warmer. Yesterday the Ft. Lauderdale Headquarters held an IST for all Poolies in South Florida; pull-ups, crunches, run, weight-in, interview etc. starting at 0730. I think that it went well with all Poolies giving maximum effort. I took a lot of pictures but have not quite learned how to download them with my Mac as yet. I was asked if I wanted to participate. I mentioned to the Gunnery Sergeant that the government vehicle that followed the Poolies on their run could not slow down to the speed that I would be running and I wouldn't want to embarrass myself on the pull-up bar. We both laughed knowing that some or not all of what I had just said was true.
Well, that's about it. Be good to yourselves.
    Adios, for now.
    Gary

Morning Brothers and Sisters, Extended Family and Friends.

Looks like we got a Spammer on Morning Zephyr.
Posting the same thing on every thread on the forum.

It's a cool 62 degrees in Rhode Island this morning.
Got a sunburn from landscaping the Ponderosa yesterday .

Hope everyone has the Best Day they can.

    Semper Fi,
    Rocky
