Good Morning Jarheads and Squids,
I am announcing the birth of my 3rd great grandchild last evening. She is a little girl who weighed in at 7lbs. 6ozs. There is nothing like the miracle of birth to humble a person and make them realize that there is someone greater than themselves.

Morning All!
I went over to the liquor store and bought a few bottles of booze to send to my grandson in Afghanistan. I told the girl I wanted the plastic bottles because I was shipping it overseas. She asked me if it was for a soldier. I said it was for my grandson who was in the Tennessee National Guard. She reached up and got another bottle and said she wanted to do her part. I guess he now has enough booze to get him through until August when he returns. There are a lot of good folks out there. (I write "mouthwash" on the custom statement. It's not a total lie is it?)
Grandkids are great. I had a great relationship with mine, especially with the oldest one (the one in Afghanistan) and we did tons of stuff together as they grew up. I took them everywhere in our area of historical and entertainment value. I never tried to trick them or lied to them and they returned the same. They talk to me about things they know their parents will get upset over and start yelling. Don't know why it never took with my sons. Anyway, I hope that the grand/great-grand kids coming into the world for y'all are as good as mine. It has really made my life much better.
Prayers out to all in need.

That's Great Grand Child,Mct ontheRock71,I missed a Generation.Congratulations Again.Morning Everybody,Friday at last. Was at the gym last night, still got some residuals of sinusitis.Got to get some Claratin D,gotta sign for it.This will do it.Got a DAV meeting tomorrow. The job of Master at Arms is open, but I didn't respond fast enough.Wonder if someone got it?.Actually read an article about training Medic's and Corpsman nine months in advanced Vascular Emergency Care.Blood Loss is the number one Factor,of Death for Soldiers.Actually good thinking on their Part Finally. This would be advanced Medical Training.Which would I rather learn?Advanced Medical Emergency Technique,or the 9 months Seal Martial Arts Course.Actually I would like to do both.My Bone Density Test will show how my Bones have Healed from Osteoporosis.Too much calcium in my blood, taking K2 to send the Calcium only to the bones.Something New,but very Helpful. This was kept from John.Q.Public.It seems that if you take Calcium Pills you have three times the Cardiac Arrest Potential.I'm still breathing, but have jumped to the Use of K2 from the Health Food Stores.Stay away from K1.That's the Story Folks.Have A Beautiful,Safe,Weekend...........Bye for now...........

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To each and everyone out there --- Happy Fathers day if it applies - and Mom's, I give you some of mine for I am certainly blessed this Fathers Day.
HE IS HOME !!!! after 9 weeks and one day in two hospitals !
Now I need to beef him back up and get his strength and stamina back where they need to be.
He lost an even 70 pounds in the hospital.
The records showed he was 260 on admittance and 190 on discharge.
Uses either a walker of special crutches.
Has a special brace that fits in his shoe and straps to his calf to stop the foot from dropping.
To get started I have a special pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onions and gravy. Mom is making him rice 'cause that's the way he likes it.
Monday it's off to the primary care Dr at 8:45 AM and then to an out patient rehab facility for evaluation etc.
Hoping that I will be able to drop him off in the AM and then go 2.5 miles to the YMCA so I can do my laps. Then come back and pick him up. Will see on Monday.
OK EVERYONE !!! MY TURN to send prayers outbound to one and all.
