Morning to all. 72 going to 91.

Knock on wood, but things are fairly quiet around here. I think the ex is going to raise some stink today as our son decided he doesn't want to visit his mother this weekend. He seems to think all I have to do is e-mail the judge and get him to change the visitation rules. In a way I don't blame him as the ex tends to change weekend plans seemingly on a whim.

I know, I know...AWOL! Been busy and just haven't posted anywhere for days and days.
I hope everyone is OK. I talked to Social Security and we did the math...it was better for me, financially, to go ahead and start drawing SS and work part-time than it was to wait and work full-time. Therefore, I am officially coming off of the "looking for a job" list.

Good Afternoon EVERYONE!!

OK, several things to post...

1) Matt is doing "ok". This being a holiday weekend, we won't know to much more till next week.

2) He was approved for State Medical Assistance (remember, he lost his job as an accountant 2 months before and had 4 interviews lined up, including one as a CFO in a mid sized company).

3) The battle with his former medical coverage company is about to heat up. The new lawyer got all the paperwork this morning and an hour later was on the phone with me. "This is a no brainier, and they surely can't count!". Seems not only did they mess up in rejecting the check I sent for $2k+, they shorted him by 32 days... you get 60, they gave him 28 to decide. So, letter from attorney was faxed out this morning and hard copy with my new check will be sent when he receives the check from me. And now the good part... built into that Federal Law, there is a $1k per day penalty I can sue them for because they messed this all up... Add another battle to list, but this one looks promising... and I seem to recall it's enforced by, of all agencies, the IRS !. I have to check on that, so don't hold me to it.

Morning to everyone. 81 now going to 88. We're going to get clipped by the south (left) edge of TS Beryl and thus get some wind and rain. How much is anyone's guess, but not as much as the other side. They're predicting rain effects through Wednesday for us.

Other than that, things are quiet here.
