He's OK now and will probably be released later today, but he was a messed up kid for the first 24-hours. He was lucky I was home.

They think the OD was accidental in that he took a few to get a high, but once up there decided to take more to get higher, not knowing the OD effects. He claims to remember taking four tabs. He also had THC in his system.

Lesson learned: Keep that stuff locked up from kids. Mine is going into my safe.

He'll be going to a re-hab facility for a mandatory evaluation, then he'll be placed in in-patient or out-patient treatment as necessary. His mother and I want him to have some in-patient time.

I don't know when I'll be back on regularly again, but I will try to stick my nose in periodically. This is being posted through the hospital wi-fi system.
WOW!! Sorry to hear that Zulu.....
    Glad he's gonna be ok.
God Bless and I'll add him and you to my prayers.
    Fred.

    Up date.

    OK....
Made progress... lost a bit ....
    He is awake.
And at rest all is good.
Had to put him back on mask.
Blood Oxy was going below 90%.
With mask and resting is 96%.
This indicates that while the lungs are getting better, he's not safe yet.
They did manage to get him sitting up at the edge of the bed and were thumping his back to help break up the congestion.
    Still on soft food.

Have notified the attorney and soon as we can get together will head to hospital to get POA signed and she can start appeal on his COBRA health benefits.

Take care all and thanks again for the prayers and kind words.

    Fred.

Great news and I'm glad he's slowly getting better way to go Fred.
As for my little thing that's going on with my little wife, she started back on her chemo and fills good so far. she had just started getting her hair back and that too shall pass once the chemo kicks in again.. But we're happy cause this means she can proceed to do her chemo for awhile... We celebrated by going to eat at her favorite place for Mexican food and she was so happy..
Well enough for now Marines Semper Fi

    Morning All!
Sorry to hear about the problems. I hope all is well with Zulu and AWB...will add to the prayer list. Stay strong.
Busy week with health and eye appointments, and in different cities. Lots of time on the road. Today is blood mobile day and I will go down at 1300 to give my pint...I have to check, but I think I am about to reach the 3 gallon mark.
Prayers out to all in need.
    Semper Fi

Morning all. Thanks for all of the support for my son. He's out of the hospital and in a re-hab facility under-going a mandatory evaluation. He'll be there for at least five days. He's doing fine and seems to have had an epiphany about life. He even wants his hair cut (!!). This morning's report from mom says he slept well and is being the polite, cooperative kid he used to be.

His mom and I have a meeting at the facility in a couple of hours and I'll know more then.

Thanks to all and everybody stay safe out there.
