Yep, she sure is leaving quite a trail. I might be so bold to say that that might be the best post that Marine1955 has ever made.
Oh, by the way...Good Morning! Right now, at 0641, it is 77 degrees. There might be some showers but down here we need the water. BBQ'd beef ribs will be on the menu today if it doesn't rain too much. Have the best day possible.
    Adios, for now.

Morning all you friggin Jarheads, and swabbies,
Well, made it through another night of flopping around like a carp on a creek bank. Opened up the drugstore in my cupboard and swallowed the required 8 pills for survival. Raining here, and a temp of 57 outside my window. 50/50 chance of rain all day. Left over steak with onions and cheese in a two egg omelette smothered in Pace pecante sauce, and washed down with strong columbian coffee got the old ticker beating this AM. Gonna go buy me a bag of black plums so I can stay regular.

    Fun Time??

Well, we had a little excitement around the old homestesd last night. I was watching the 'Gibbs and Abbey Show' at around 1800, when I heard some raised voices in the kitchen. I went to see what the problem was, and found my Wife looking out of the kitchen window. My daughter Janice was holding on to her, and Betty was shaking so much, I was afraid she was going to collapse. I asked Jan what the problem was, and she told me there wasw a guy out in our driveway, hiding behind our cars, and a State Trooper had just pulled in, and came out of his car, pistol in hand. Right behind the Trooper, came two Oswego County Deputy Sheriffs.

The guy they were chasing had thrown his car keys under my daughters Van. The trooper had seen him running, with an object in his hand, but couldn't tell what the object was, and with the death of an Onieda co. Officer fresh in mind, the Trooper was taking no chances. He aimed at the guy and told him to get down on the ground. He showed empty hands, so they took him down and searched him. Turned out, he was drunk, and had got into a big argumunt with his wife, while visiting a freinds house. The friend called 911, and the guy took off, ending up in our driveway, which is the widest one on our road. I've got to narrow that thing up, and hag a log chain across it. S/F!!

Aren't you glad you don't live in a really big city and have that kind of crap happen all of the time in your neighborhood? I am. Although there have been three police officers shot (not fatally) in my county lately. The shooters got shot too (one fatally).

Glad everyone at your place is OK and no good guys hurt.

I wholly endorse the .50 cal idea Rocky has.

    A little excitement.

Rocky and Chris, thanks for your concern. We finally got Betty yo stop shaking, almost. I've got to say, I admire the way those Officers handled that situation. . their professionalism was a model for other, younger Officers to follow. I'm not a cop, but I'm still proud of them.

I have to get off of the infernal machine every now and then today, to visit with family and friends, coming to check on Betty. I'll be cruising the site all day today, I think. gotta catch up on the Community news. Where did I put my helmet?? S/F!! Ken

The fifty would be good if mt eyes were just a little bit better, Jesse. These days, a 12ga. over and under, with .00 Buckshot works for me. Gets me a nice spread. Have a good day. S/F!
