Watched "Gran Torino", yesterday...Eastwood has a lot of insight, he hit OUR nail right on the head. He must have talked to a lot of Vet's in their 60's. Most of "us", would like to go out with Honor, Dignity, and Respect. Most of my friends, who are RVN Combat Vets, feel the same way. YES...I cried at the end of the movie, because I know EXACTLY how that man felt. Watched it again, to make sure I burned the idea of giving back, into my brain. I owe my life to the Marines of Lima, 3/3/3, and to the men, who I was able to save in Combat. I am doing my best to give back by being a LISTENER. GOD help us all learn to accept who we are, and give us the strength to continue......SIMPER FIDELIS....Doc Greek

Good morning, Marines. Doc, thanks for that post, I got teary at the end of the movie but I understood what he was doing before he even went out and did it. Takes a big man, one we'd call a hero, he'd just say he was doing his job; just like a lot of you guys on here would say.

Looking at another place. Wife is having more contractions. Had folks over from Florida yesterday. Had a bud who lives down near Naples tell me to start applying for jobs down there; his wife will be available to babysit while my wife goes to school and I'm at work. Says his utilities were $40 for the month after running the A/C all the time.

He can almost live down there on a disability pension and trips to the VA. He's doing right by himself and his wife. Proud to know him, another Marine brother.

Have a good one gentlemen, I'll be there to have your back, pick you up, take you home and take your place if need be, just like we'd all do for each other.

    Semper Fi

Evening All, Had a employee safety (threat) meeting this morning at 0600 so I didn't get a chance to log on. Whewwww!!! Little advice. Don't take a Tylenol PM and wash it down with 8 ozs of Black Velvet Reserve whiskey. One minute at around 2100 I was setting here watching TV, and the next thing I knew it was 0300, and I woke up laying on the floor in front of my chair. Hardies sausage and egg cuisant, tater gems, and coffee started my day. 11 hour day and never stopped moving the whole time. Like it when work is like that. I eat less, because I'm not bored sitting waiting for a load, and the day flies by. Mowed the yard after work. Made it to 70 for a high, and by afternoon the sun was shining. SF
