Good morning, Marines... was absent for morning formation. I would have hazed myself but I was stuck trying to find the keys to a HMMVEE and some turn signal fluid.

Got my smoker today, modded it during the afternoon. Curing and test-running it tomorrow with a rack of ribs and some chicken thighs and drums. Going plain mesquite/hickory with some cowboy charcoal.

When all goes well I'll be planning a Smoker's Lung event for the second Saturday in May. Brisket, ribs, pork tenderloin, chicken, some good stuff on the grill and coolers full of suds. Any Marines want to come please let me know; I'll be creating a thread with more details.

There'll be chili there too. If enough Marines request it... there just may be some SOS on hand too.

You can see him poking around in there. He'll be born during HOT/SOP so I imagine he'll be in service charlies.

Today was windy and chilly, tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful. I'm looking to smoke out the entire neighborhood. We're on the approach to the county airport so it should look good for everybody flying in.

Wife and I are going to work with the horses today
Going to be a nice day weather wise and get colder later with a chance of snow Monday and Tuesday

I like winter but when it starts getting warm I like it to stay

GOOD MORNING LEATHERNECKS!!!!....Beautiful day here in Fla!! Got a front that's gonna' move through tonight, and bring SOME rain....and "COLD" weather! Only woke up once last night....the usual. This condo is nice, but....I'm pickey, and would rather be able to barbeque, in my own back yard! Will try....AGAIN...to buy a house this summer, WHY?....buy a house before Dec. 1st, and Obamamma will send me $8000.00!!! Stimulus dough, from me to me!! It's a bright sunny day and 52 degrees in Rhode Island so far. Soon i will be leaving to buy Easter cards for the family because someone changed the date to a month earlier???

Morning Jarheads, Doc, 28 degrees here and still snowing. This is April for gawds sake. Looks more like January. PC camera quit working again or i would take some pictures for ya. Supposed to get into the 50s by Wed. All this will be gone by Thursday morning. Very wet and sticky stuff. Blue berry waffles and coffee for breaffast, then a quick snow blower job on the driveway. Stuff so wet the blower whould hardly throw it. Sure hope this is winters last hoorah. refilled the bird feeders so our local summer skeeter eaters will hang around till the snow clears. You all have a good day. Sending some of this winter wanderland to all you slackers living in warmer climes of the Southeast. Enjoy SF

GOOD MORNING MARINES AND SQUIDS!!! We've got a "cold front" moving through today. Might get some much needed rain! Weather "Dude" said 43 tomorrow morning, and Wed. morning! High's in the middle 60's!! Winter weather, here in Fla! J.D. sand., O.J. and coffee....should do for me! This moving crap really SUCKS!!! TOO MUCH SH!T!!!! This condo REALLY feels temporary for me. It's a 12 month lease, but doesn't feel like 'home'. Still hoping to find, and buy, a house before Dec.....to get some of that Obamamma FREE bread!! What a JOKE!!!!! Got an antibotic from my urologist 6 months ago for bladder infection and it caused tendon pain in all my joints. Some days I can hardly walk. Just heard thursday there is a National class action suit over this drug doing permanent dammage to tendons in those who have taken it. I take pain pills daily, cannot sleep,fear drug addiction again. Don't have any answers.

I'll trade you! LOL.
That is just what I need!
