Goor Morning Pride of a nation. It's Saturday, but that doesn't mean anything to a Marine.

Coffee's on, it's strong, it hot, and plenty of it. Oats this morning w/brownsugar, Toast, half & half, blueberries if you've a mind, and cranberry juice.

Come and dine. It would be my pleasure to serve you.

To the men and women serving in theatre's of war, thank you so very much. Prayers are outbound for your safety and safe return to a grateful nation, and your loving families. God Bless you. . .

Good morning from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Breakfast will be at the mercy of the local pancake house, that serves one hell of a meal. Let me know and I'll bring you something back to eat!

My nephew is getting married this afternoon and is spending his honeymoon here in the mountains. He lives about 45 minutes from here. I told him last night that if he wanted to make a lifetime commitment, to join the Corps...his dad did. He was a Corporal from 68-72. Hard Corps Grunt!

Since his dad passed away 6 years ago with cancer, he has depended on me to fill in, of sorts.

Anyway, it will all soon be over for him, or just beginning!

    Semper Fi,

    Dave

Good Morning Marines! This is a day that the Lord has made, so let's rejoice in it, worship and serve Him.

Coffee's on, I'll brunch a little after studying His Word. Hope your day is filled with the great love of our Saviour, your family, and friends. And that it's filled with all or more than you could ever desire.

For those serving our nation abroad, I lift you up this morning, praying for your safety, and speedy return to your loved ones, and a nation most grateful.

Good Morning Pride of a nation. . .

Know straight up, this world is not a friend of grace. Do not look to it for hope or help. It will only break your heart.

Having said that, coffee's on and it's plentiful. Hot cakes on the griddle this morning, fresh cackle fruit from the hen house, sausage, and juice.

Come and dine my brothers and sisters. The Lord's to be served and we've our fellow man to save. You'll need a good breakfast.

To those serving afar off, my prayers are outbound for you and your families, and for your safe and speedy return to those that love you, and a nation ever grateful.

    Good morning Marines!

Hope you all had a safe and productive weekend!! Mine was busy remodeling the future new kitchen - only about 4 weeks left until installation - so minus a blister and minor cuts I am in top form and making progress again. I had taken most of the summer off from projects, but back on track now. Here in upstate NY ( which is everything BUT New York City to the rest of the you ) the summers are short and precious, so I try to work on house projects in fall/winter/spring and relax in summer.

Today at Parris Island, Marine recruits are snapping in at the range and learning the fundamental techniques that will ensure they will be the finest marksmen in the world. I wonder who will shoot high score on the range this week...a male or a female recruit?????? Hmmmmm

    SFi Marines!

Good Morning!! A bit cloudy here, hope the rain holds off until tonight. Nothing elaborate here this morning. Cereal and juice.
Have the day off. If it rains I might go to the indoor range. Haven't gone in a while ...... man I miss the smell.

Now Ec, you lectured me on it being called Freedom Toast on this board.

Nice cool start to a day here in the Bluegrass State. Coffee feels good going down when it's a little cool outside.

To the men and women fighting abroad, I lift you up in prayer this morning, for your safe return to those that love you, and a grateful nation.

Remember: Never wait one day too long.

And remember. . . . "Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity."

    Morning Marines!

3-4 cups o' coffee and a banana and I'm right on track today. My big meal is lunch - I love sandwiches!

Today at Parris Island, the recruits have been sweating for hours already. The sun is hot and the air is humid, feels like 92 degs in the sun. I can still taste the lukewarm water in the plastic canteens with the bland plastic aftertaste. A recruit, probably from either First or Third Battalion, is currently doing rifle drill and standing in a puddle of his own urine while doing so. Ahhhh, the sweet memories.

    Have an outstanding day Marines!
