Imagine that! All these folks out looking for jobs answering the survey question. Now you know why recruiting is tough. They don't join because we are underpaid!!! Maybe if we paid more and advertised on Monster.com things would get better!!! LOL Well, I think the folks in Washington need to see this poll too. The pay raises discussed are for military members, not all government employees. Maybe the legislators will put in place a salary cap or freeze in order to get us a worthwhile raise.... yeah, like that will happen. I bet they even use the war and support for troops as a campaign speech come election time.

I can't believe the 1 in 6 that thought: "No, their salaries are comparable to those in the private sector.

Compare the pay of an experienced 8yr SWAT policeman to a Corporal infantryman!
