Sunday return for 300 Marines
San Diego Union Tribune, United States

About 300 members of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369 will return to Camp Pendleton tomorrow after a seven-month deployment to Iraq.

Nicknamed the "Gunfighters," the unit's members flew a variety of missions to support forces in the eastern Anbar province of Iraq.

With their all-purpose UH-1N Hueys and attack AH-1W Super Cobras, the Gunfighters provided air support, did reconnaissance work, performed surveillance and tackled other tasks.

The squadron is based at Camp Pendleton but falls under the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is headquartered at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station.
