General Pace leaves his stars to fallen Vietnam comrades.
Don't know if any of you have seen or heard of this but here it is.
The final act of a retiring general at the end of his 40-year military career, Gen. Peter Pace left notes to three fallen members of his platoon from Vietnam. At the bottom of the notes, he pinned a set of his General's stars.
Not many like him anymore.

He is an amazing man. Everything that a General Officer of Marines should be. It is a shame that his career has come to an end.

I always admired Pace. He's a man who truly cared about the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen under his command. As Echo said, he is everything a General Officer should be. This final act as chairman was very honorable of him.

A clear example of Semper Fidelis.
God bless that General of Marines.
