Haditha Revisited....Congressman Murtha is Toast

Congressman John Murtha from Pennsylvania MUST GO!

A president is fair game for criticism, and I couldn't care less about the Bush legacy; but the lunatic fringe of our congress, so bent on destroying the Bush Presidency have pulled out all the stops to attain this goal and have gone as far as using our military as convenient patsy's.

These are our people, we've sent them to war while we remain home carrying out our lives without disruption. They're separated from loved ones, have made sacrifices unimaginable to most, including dying and sustaining catastrophic injury and yet they are unfairly used in a grand political scheme.

Last year, without cause, and before any evidence or court convened to hear allegations that eight of our Marines killed innocent civilians on 11/19/05 in Haditha, Congressman Murtha, who has been propped by his congressional cronies at every opportunity as a combat war veteran accused those leathernecks of murder.

Murtha mounted a campaign to destroy, not as an end, but as a means to an end the following Marines: S.SGT. Frank Wuterich, Sgt. Sanick Dela Cruz, Lance Cpl. Steve Tatum, Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt, LTC. Jeff Chessani, Capt. Randy Stone, Capt. Lucas McConnel, and 1st Lt. Andrew Grayson. These individuals having gone to war for America, were rewarded with vilification in the left leaning media who happily and hurriedly gave substance to Murthas' self proclaimed indictment, trial and conviction in the press. That a United States Congressman gave life to such a horrible occurrence fed not only the anti-war faction at home, but abroad as well.

On 5/27/06 the U.K. Guardian Unlimited in an article on the story proclaimed that Marines were "quietly calling it their My Lai." Aljazerra.net on 6/4/06 reported that a journalism student, Taher Thabet passed a video of bodies and homes to Time Magazine by way of an Iraqi human rights group. The article then proceeds to a "time line" of the alleged incident with a brief bio on Murtha, including his allegations of cover up and murder, also referring to him as a "war critic."

All the ducks were falling into place to set these Marines up. A war growing more unpopular, aided by media outlets bent on talking up the failures of the war and downplaying it's successes; politicians with a left tilt, and now a journalism student with the greatest career opportunity he will see in his lifetime.

Fast forward past the investigation into the allegations, despite "Judge Murtha's" decision and proclamation of guilt on our countrymen without a proper trial; the servicemen have their day in court. If we can presume sexual predators, rapists, and drug dealers innocent until proven guilty then the same rights exist to these individuals despite Murtha's Kangaroo Court.

And something very different is evolving from the real court these defendants stand before. Charges against four of these eight railroaded Marines have been dropped.

When will John Murtha apologize to them? Will this man ever apologize? Will he remain unscathed on this issue as he has been on questions of impropriety relative to defense contracts?

Pennsylvanians...turn this hack out!
