If you ever listen to Heart they were General Wilsons's daughters.

I served under PX Kelley, AM Gray, CE Mundy, Chuck Krulack.

Generals Chapman, Cushman, Wilson, and Barrows.

Had the honor as an NCO (while in Nam) of hearing General Walt speak. Attended a reception with my SgtMaj at he SNCO Club in Iwakuni where I got to meet General when he was doing his farewell tour of FMFPac before taking over as Commandant. Also got to meet and greet General Kelly when he was Major General.

Gen. Wilson 76-79 I was shipped to Camp Lujeune my last 4 mths hotel 1/6 via Camp Gieger Fox 2/8 ( Outstanding and squarded away base ) as they were getting ready for another Med-Float and I was to short, anywho Gen wilson came for a visit as he was getting ready to retire and he did a ?'s and answers in a packed auditorium, I young L/cpl stood up and said to the Gen, Sir,I have had good pro's and con's since joining the Marines and get passed up for promotion to cpl,I would like to become a DI, Gen Wilson asks who his CO is to which the Marine replies,Gen wilson tells his aide to make sure he gets promoted and gets orders to go to DI school. Hell I should've jumped up and asked to get my sgt's stripes as I went up in front of Sgt's board 2x's and they tell me a 3 yr Marine doesnt get Sgt's stripes ( Bullsh*T) but they were boot Lt., one who couldnt even read a compass to save his life.
