Out of all the jobs in the Marine Corps-----THE DRILL INSTRUCTOR is probably the least appreciated! These fine NCOs work those extra hours to insure that this country gets well trained Basic Marines to be molded into the fighting machines we need to win wars! The BOOTS that graduate think it's over for them---finally---But the Drill Instructors job is never ending. They are at the point now that they graduate one platoon and walk to receiving and start Black Friday all over again with a new platoon. With this increase in strength the Commandant has ordered, it will be a hard and difficult task for the Drill Instructor, and his/her family, to endure. My hats off to the many, many fine Drill Instructors at Both MCRD's!

Semper Fi my brothers and sisters!
