    Question What are the Odds?

Greeting Marine Corps family and families. I'm a retired Navy guy who had the privilege of serving with some of the Corps' finest duiring my career. Anyway, I must have done something right, because my middle son wants to pursue a commission in the Marine Corps. He's a college senior, age 21, with solid grades as a political science major, physically fit (wiry runner), no vices and no disqualifying background hits, solid leadership skills, and a desire to serve his country among the Few and Proud.

Here's my question. Does anyone have any idea of the current selection percentages for OCS applicants? If I've come to the wrong forum with this question, then I beg pardon and would appreciate a shove toward the best informed discussion group. Very best regards, Joe

I believe it fluctuates between 25 and 40 percent. Get him to an officer recruiter immediately so he knows what he can work on to prepare.
